A Message from the Governor:
Dear Optimist Members,
In the Sun Papers Parade magazine on March the 7th, there
was an article by Michael J. Berland titled, "Compassion Counts More Than
Ever". One of the sub titles was, "Our Nation is in a volunteering
boom". I have in the past said," that during hard times people will and need
to volunteer and that is an opportunity to increase your membership if only
we would Just Ask". What are we waiting for?? This article
points out that most people get involved because someone ask them.. I
sincerely ask each and every Optimist in our district to go after that
person you had in mind, don't let time pass us by. Someone did
something nice for me, and by being an Optimist I can give back. How
about you?? What does being an Optimist mean to you? Won't you share
it???
